CAUCUS FALLOUT: Camps see room for improvement Clinton and Obama ...
When the vote came in from the Iowa caucus on Jan. 3, the winner declared victory and the losers conceded defeat. When the vote came in from the New Hampshire primary on Jan. 8, a different winner declared victory and a different loser gracefully conceded. In Nevada, naturally, things couldn't be quite that simple. On Sunday, the campaigns of Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were still haggling over Saturday's Nevada caucuses, slinging charges of voter intimidation and casting a pall on the historic event that the state's political parties would have preferred to celebrate. .
Travel agency makes BBB 'Dirty Dozen' list 7:07 AM
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Last year, consumers filed more than 14,000 complaints with the Better Business Bureau in Charlotte against businesses across the southern Piedmont. And some of the names, you've heard before. We first told you about accusations against Sonshine Tours and Travel out of Mooresville back in August. Dozens of people e-mailed and called us, saying they paid for trips that were later cancelled but never got their money back. Now, the agency is on the BBB's newly released "Dirty Dozen" list. Overall, the company's former owner, Steve Young, is accused of stealing $650,000 from more than 400 customers. Detectives say they've turned the case over to the U.S. Attorney's office. The FBI is also working hard to build a federal against the man we exposed.
Neck deep in the mud, pretending we're not
It is a mark of how stupid our previous policies in Iraq were that the success of the surge is a surprise. But, you know, even with a lowered level of violence, the citizens of Iraq want us out of there. Polls suggest that half the citizens of Iraq want us out right now, and many of the rest want us out real soon. They can't wait for us to leave. We may be impressing ourselves with our success, but we are not impressing them. Which is only logical. We did invade their country. We did kick out an evil dictator, but we replaced the evil dictator with stupid bureaucrats and violent mercenaries. Our presence attracted foreign soldiers to the country, and it radicalized young men. If Iraqis were asked, "Are you better off now than you were eight years ago?," the evidence suggests that the answer would be no.

Striking screenwriters reach interim deals with Marvel, Lionsgate
The start of informal talks between striking U.S. screenwriters and studio bosses this week hasn't stopped the union from signing interim deals with three more independent production houses. The Writers Guild of America announced Thursday it had reached interim agreements with Marvel Studios and Lionsgate, allowing writers that had been working on projects with those two companies to get back to work. Then later Friday, RKO pictures, maker of Are We Done Yet and Mighty Joe Young announced it had settled with the writers' union. Lionsgate's latest projects include the new Rambo film, out in theatres Friday, the upcoming fifth instalment of the Saw horror franchise and the acclaimed new TV show Mad Men. The upcoming slate for Marvel, a subsidiary of the comic book giant, includes superhero films Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.
