Wall Street Noticing That The Math On iPhones Doesn't Add Up

I have no visibility on how many boxed phones are still in the channel but 700K of them sounds excessive. Personally, I account for 3 of those missed AT&T activations. I won't do business with AT&T. I hate cell companies as it is. My parents taught me that "contracts are for suckers". So T-Mobile and I have an understanding. They keep their network up, and I'll keep buying pre-paid time. When the iPhone came out I was thrilled with the software inside. For once, it wasn't a sensless, scatterbrained collection of endless drill downs slathered with teeny-twit color candy. As soon as the JailBreak and Unlock was announced, I bought one for me, my wife and daughter. As happy as I am, I'm still not satisfied as a customer. I want the AT&T lock removed from the phone. I want to write my own applications for the phone.

What McCain's Got

Orlando, Fla.

In a time of Republican confusion, Sen. John McCain, reviled as an unreliable maverick, has won three GOP primaries. Florida showed why he's winning.

In the age of modern media, it is possible for anyone with access to Google to learn almost everything there is to know about a presidential campaign -- polls, strategies, stump speeches, background papers, bottomless punditry. What more does one need to know? If the day comes that campaigns are run only with Web videos, that is indeed all you'll need to know. But they're not. They are still worked town by town, from diners to bagel shops and in places like Sun City, Fla., where several hundred retirees gathered Saturday to hear John McCain.

John McCain beat Mitt Romney by 5.5 points in New Hampshire and by five again in Florida.

Hardware Pornographic Film Industry Still Firmly Behind HD DVD

Despite Blu-ray Disc's momentum, adult video still likes HD DVD Despite all the talk regarding Blu-ray Disc's momentum after Warner Bros. gave its support exclusively to the format, the high-definition format war is far from over. With the overall high-definition market barely a drop in the bucket when compared to DVD sales, there is still a lot of ground still to be claimed.

Analysts looked early to the adult industry as a strong decider of the format war. The adult industry is often credited with giving VHS its support, helping the format to edge out Betamax – and some believe that history may repeat itself with the HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc battle.

Digital Playground founder and director Joone originally backed HD DVD, but at this year's Adult Entertainment Expo he reportedly told German publication Heise Online that his company will be shifting its support to Blu-ray Disc by the end of the year.

Software Call of Duty 4 Developer Laments PC Game Piracy

Besides targeting the mass market, there are other reasons for many PC game developers to shift focus to consoles.

Call of Duty, a franchise that started on the PC, is now a bona fide hit on current-generation consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Listed as one of GameStop's top five selling games throughout the holiday season, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was also amongst the most often played online.

Microsoft's Larry Hryb detailed in his blog that Call of Duty 4 was the third most played game on Xbox Live, behind only Halo 3 and Gears of War.

Even with the success of the console versions of Call of Duty 4, the developers of the game continue to put effort into extending the life of its work for the PC audience. Coming soon are mod tools for hobbyists to create new game modes, as well as a map editor to make new environments.

Does Hillary have a Monika motor driving her to be the boss of Bill?

What I see isn't as noxious as Bush's personality disorder, but we shouldn't ignore possible negative reasons the wife of a serial philanderer stands by her man.

After years of screwing around and some publicized bimbo eruptions, one infidelity blasted out of secrecy, going from Matt Drudge's website to 24/7 worldwide news coverage as fast as Mt. Saint Helens dust hit the stratosphere.

For the average woman this would be the equivalent of after years of behind the back whispers and snickers having her middle aged husband caught having sex with a young high school teacher:

at the senior prom in the school auditorium with his own wife and daughter watching on stage on the sofa of the set for "Our Town" when someone raised the curtain and turned on the spotlights.
